The online option in my practice has become a reality when our world has been invaded by COVID 19 pandemic. Many families and individuals found themselves confined to their homes for the period of 3 to 5 months. The recent mental health research indicates the elevated rates in depression, anxiety and mental health challenges even in those who had no previous mental health history. Uncertainty for our future has rocked the whole world the past few years like it has never done before.
An online therapy has become a great option for clients to continue to stay connected and attend to their mental health from the convenience of their homes. It also opened up the opportunity for long distance clients to connect in the fastest manner without additional travelling expenses.
Life Coaching vs Therapy
Life coaches and therapists may often help clients with similar problems, however, their work is not the same. Let's take a closer look.

A coach will then help you set goals, mindset, a plan and strategies for achieving your dreams. Coaching is based on a dynamic approach of motivating and inspiring people to achieve more than they think is possible.

Why is there a price difference?

Therapy is often very specific, complex and can take prolong periods of time. Therefore it is priced at a lower rate to accommodate the insurance coverage and budgeting.

View client's concerns through the lens of the past traumas, upbringing, relationship, or environment in order to help them reach the integration with the present. In other words, they look at the "why" behind the problems.
Their goal is to get a deep understanding of the presenting behaviours, patterns and blueprints.
These reasons call for a strategic, goal-oriented therapy with measurement tools in place.
Therapy is often a part of a network of other medical and mental health professionals.
LIFE COACHES
View client's presenting concerns from the current starting point and empower client to take action toward the desired goals.

They aim at helping their clients to set the specific goals, awaken their inner strength, empower their mindset, encourage action and monitor results.

These reasons call for the intense immersion into massive action with an intention to get real results. They measure client's success by the specific behaviour, performance and results.

Life couches may encourage people to create the reserve of professionals with various skill sets: athletic trainers, business brokers, nutritionists, etc.
